When a family member is booked into the Cheboygan County Jail, the hours can feel endless and the questions overwhelming. We're Bail My Tail, the Butler family's bail-bonds agency. Gene Butler founded it in 1982 and runs it today with his son Justin, and we've stood beside Michigan families through this same fear for more than forty years. The Cheboygan County Jail is at 870 South Main Street, Cheboygan, MI 49721, and it's open 24 hours a day. Our help is too: call our toll-free line at 877-869-8245 any time and a real person will pick up. We'll confirm the bond the court set, lay out your options in plain language, and post the bond so your loved one can come home. Because Michigan regulates surety bonds, you pay a 10% premium of the total bail instead of the full amount, and we post statewide. We accept cash, all major credit cards, debit, and bank transfer, and qualifying families can arrange a payment plan. After the bond is posted, release from the Cheboygan County Jail typically takes about 2 to 8 hours, depending on how busy the jail is. There's no need to navigate this alone in the middle of the night. Call Bail My Tail and let our family help bring yours back together.
